Immorent launched construction of utilities for Immopark in Košice

Company Immorent Delta, a subsidiary of Erste Bank, started construction of utilities for the Immopark project at the beginning of October. The total area of land for building an industrial park in the immediate vicinity of Košice airport is nearly 62 ha. Its owner is Immorent. “We have decided to invest in utilities due to the growing interest of investors in Košice and Eastern Slovakia region. With this step, our plots are ready for their arrival. Also the issued zoning permission for our park will enable start of construction of buildings already in a very short time. The project foresees construction of new modern premises for light industry and logistics tailored for each client,“ says Peter Malík, general manager of Immorent.

Estimated cost of investment is about 5 million EUR. The main contractor of the project is construction company Bardejovská R.A.S. Sveržov. “Immopark is currently the only project prepared in the immediate vicinity of the airport area, which represents an investment of such a large scale. The city of Košice has defined this zone as an area for development of the industrial park in its zoning plan since 2002, therefore it is strongly involved in the process of preparation. We are pleased that the finalization will fulfill one of our strategic objectives in promoting direct foreign investment. We believe that this investment will be for the city and the region of Eastern Slovakia a further boost to its economic development,“ says František Knapík, mayor of Košice. Completion of the 1st stage is scheduled for March 2011.
