Park Inn Prague - hotel in a printing plant

After more than a year, the property development and investment company Red Group finished reconstruction of a historical printing plant from 1907, turning it into the four-star hotel Park Inn Prague. The reconstruction sensitively combines the original Art Nouveau style with modern elements and required an investment of over CZK 700 million. The building’s industrial history is reminded by high ceilings and large loft areas. “The adaptation of this building, a hundred years old, to meet the demands put on a top-quality hotel, while maintaining its historical industrial style, was a huge challenge,” said Colin Glover, head of Construction and Development in Red Group. The hotel will offer 210 rooms and suites in total, with balconies, a garden in the atrium and a fitness centre on the roof, five conference rooms and the RBG Bar & Grill brand restaurant. The architectural design for the reconstruction came from the Polish studio Ovotz design Lab, which had already created the interior design for Park Inn in Ostrava.
