Construction production fell by 5.7 percentages in March
This year fall in construction production continues. In March, its semi-early volume decreased by 5.7% to 411 mills Euro. It means the mitigation of the decline in comparison with the first two months, when construction production fell by 25.6%, respectively 11%. The volume of construction production in the Q1 2009 decreased semi-yearly by 13.6% to 1.041 bills Euro. According to the Statistical Office (SO) „mitigation of the construction production was mainly affected by companies with 20 or more employees, which reduced the amount of work by 3.8%.“ Domestic construction production was 395 mills Euro in March and semi-early it was lower by 4.8%. „Development of domestic production influenced the semi-year decrease of new buildings construction, including the modernizations and reconstructions by 2.3% to 331.1 mills Euro, repairs and maintenance by 17.7% to 60.9 mills Euro,“ SO informed. Domestic construction production decreased semi-early by 12.8% to 1.004 bills Euro within first three months of this year.
