Bratislava: Vrakuňa will support reconstruction of residential buildings

Bratislava Vrakuňa is considering to remiss the local tax for the use of public space to inhabitants, who plans to reconstruct residential buildings, warm up or remove systemic failures. The average local tax ranges from one thousand to three thousand € per a house. The city district wants to encourage the reconstruction and revitalization of the Vrakuňa housing development.

„The Vrakuňa housing development consists largely of residential houses, which have already reached the age of 30 years. The complex reconstruction improves construction, energy and hygienic parameters of the house, extends its life, improve housing quality, reduce costs for housing, eliminates system errors, in particular prefabricated building systems, „explained the deputy mayor Marek Hargaš. It concerns in particular, the hydraulic regulation of heat carriers, termostatisation of heating elements, repair of lifts, replacement of water and gas distributions. Average cost of insulation and warming up houses ranges from 160 to 680 thousand € according to their size. "Financing the reconstruction in practice is notably provided by drawing loans, which the residential houses undertake to repay about ten years,“ Hargaš added.
